Call for Submissions -- The Love of an Omega

The Love of an Omega Anthology (Gay Alpha/Omega Erotic Romance Stories)

Deadline: March 31, 2016
Editor: Drew Hunt

The Love of an Omega is open to all authors. Those new to JMS Books are encouraged to submit. Reprints will not be accepted unless they are not currently in print and the author holds exclusive rights to republish.

We’re looking for stories featuring the passionate alpha/omega dynamic between gay men. The stories may involve shifters (werewolves, cats, bears, etc.), or the characters may remain in human form, but they must express the hierarchical elements of an alpha/omega relationship. Betas and gammas may also appear, but the focus must be on the alpha/omega bond. MPreg is acceptable.

If you are unfamiliar this trope, please refer to the Wiki article located at NOTE: All submitted stories must be original fiction with original characters and cannot be fan fiction or derivative fiction of any fandom of any kind.

Stories must contain a gay or M/M erotic romance. Stories may contain multiple partners, but M/F or M/M/F stories will not be considered. We’re looking for unique stories in the alpha/omega genre by authors with strong voices and vivid imagery.

  • Stories must be between 12,000 and 20,000 words
  • Stories must contain a romance -- any heat level, from sweet to erotic
  • Romantic pairing must be MM or MMM ONLY
  • Stories must involve men in an alpha/omega relationship (doesn't have to be shifters)
  • Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, western, paranormal, etc)
  • Stories must have a HEA or HFN ending
  • Adult stories only (no YA)
All stories submitted must adhere to the general guidelines found on our website. We do not consider multiple or simultaneous submissions.

One-time payment for inclusion in the anthology will be $40 USD. Authors will receive one copy of the published book in paperback and e-book format.

The e-book anthology will be released exclusively on Amazon for the first three months of publication. The paperback will be available at the same time.

After this initial period, the e-book will be widely released through other distribution channels, including on our website. Also, the stories within the collection will be released individually as single e-book titles, each with its own unique cover. Authors will receive 50% net royalties on all sales of their own title per our standard contract.

Send a blurb and the full manuscript to with "The Love of an Omega" and the title of your story in the subject line. Include any author credentials you may have.

We will respond to your email within 2 business days.
